Break out your best dress, suit and tie.  Join us for punch and dancing at our official “prom” kicking off the YA Summer Reading Program.  While the event is free, you must pre-register for a ticket.  Call 706-821-2615 for more information.

Moms, come share a spot of tea with your teen as we register you both for SRP 2013 and discuss adult titles appropriate for teens and parents to read together.

Our Summer Reading Program is in full swing.  Come for the hunt and prizes, and more information regarding titles you can read for SRP2013.  All participants must in the building before we close at 5:30pm.

Super Surprise Skypes

Mondays; 3:00 pm- All Month Long in the YA Room; RSVP required to schedule Skype sessions

Ages 11-17

Will it be an author or an artist?  A college rep or a sports star?  If we get enough participants, come to see who is Skyping in to talk with the teens of Augusta.  You won’t know unless you show.

Please join us for coffee, tea and an in-depth book discussion about many of the classics you will be asked to read in the future.  We will discuss the following list of books and how they have been adapted to modern entertainment in movies, anime, comics and graphic novels. This book club will offer you inside information to get you ahead on any analysis you may be asked to do on literature in the future.

Crafty Creations Coffee Contest

Ages 11-17

Come join us as we make a crafty creation.  Participants will pre-register online and vote for the craft they’d like to produce.  The winning craft is what we’ll make as a group at the event.

It’s the last day of the Summer Reading Program 2013.  Do you know where your Reading Log is?  Come turn it in and stay for the hunt and prizes.  All participants must in the building before we close at 5:30pm.

 

Unless otherwise listed, all activities are held at the Headquarters Library, are free and open to the age-appropriate public.  Parents and guardians are also welcome to attend.  Large groups such as church or youth organizations are encouraged to attend as part of their program schedule and should RSVP in advance.  For more information or to RSVP, please contact Kristin Eberhart at
